Average house price increase

The average house price in Scotland during December 2017 was £148,783, according to the latest House Price Index from Registers of Scotland (RoS), a 7.7 percent increase on December the previous year, higher than the UK year-on-year 5.2 percent increase. Kenny Crawford, RoS business development and information director, comments: “Average prices have been steadily increasing each month since March 2016, when compared with the same month of the previous year. Residential sales volumes increased in October and the year-on-year increase of 3.9 percent contrasts with decreases across the rest of the UK.”
