BSPC Member wins business leader of the year award

Ron Hastings of BSPC member firm Hastings Legal, won the Business Leader of The Year Award at the 2017 Scottish Borders Business Excellence Awards ceremony, which took place recently at the Border Showground. Organised and hosted by the Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce, this was the first time the Business Leader award had gone out to a public vote on Facebook.

And the accolades didn’t stop there; the team at Hastings Legal came runner-up in the Business of the Year award, which is judged against set criteria that included business development and innovation introduced over the past 12 months and reflects successes achieved on both the legal and property sides of the business.

“This award is a recognition of what can be achieved by presenting a positive pro-active face to the world,” says Ron Hastings. “I am sure what works for us selling property will also work for other firms. There is no doubt the Borders has great things to offer, not least its people, who are genuine and welcoming to all who come to the area . . . and they are coming into the area in increasing numbers.”
